Advanced Moore Denture Clinic Laboratory Services

Immediate/surgical Dentures

You may be experiencing tooth pain or tooth decay and need to have some or all of your teeth extracted. This is a major event to experience which may feel overwhelming. We are here to help you navigate through the difficulties associated with tooth loss. We work alongside your existing dentist, or can refer you to a clinic that we work with, to get your denture/s ready to be inserted immediately after your teeth are pulled!

Pros:

  • No waiting time to get your dentures after extractions
  • Immediate dentures act as band-aid for your gums
  • Protect the extraction areas for the first few weeks of initial healing

Cons:

  • Cannot guarantee the denture esthetics
  • First time you see your smile is when the denture is already made
  • Fit of the denture may be loose for the first two weeks
  • Sometimes difficult to verify the bite

Special Note

  • When you have teeth extracted, the gums go through significant shrinking for the first 12 months. You will need to come in for multiple appointments over the first year to have temporary linings put in your dentures that readapt the denture to the changed gums. For the first three months we will put in the temporary linings at no extra cost, after the first three months, each lining will be an additional cost. After 12 months, we will replace the temporary lining with a permanent lining.

Post-extraction dentures

Sometimes an immediate denture is not the best option. This may be due to the complexity of the mouth, the teeth being extracted in segments, or if you want to have a greater say in how your smile will appear. Post-extraction dentures can be fabricated in as little as a few weeks after your teeth are pulled as long as your gums are healing well, or, if you prefer to allow more healing, as much as six months after extractions.

Pros:

  • Wax denture try-in to ensure that you are happy with your smile before the dentures are made
  • Better fitting denture at the insert
  • We will often book multiple appointments in one day so you can get your teeth sooner!

Cons:

  • You will be without teeth for close to 3 weeks
  • Liquid diet
